PBS and member stations are America’s largest classroom, available to 98% of America’s children through their television service – including those who can’t attend preschool.

PBS is the No. 1 source of media content for preschool teachers and the No. 1 place parents turn to for preschool videos online, with content that has been shown to improve critical literacy skills in young children.

PBS, partnering with other publicly funded organizations, has delivered more than 14,000 unique, curriculum-based educational resources through PBS Learning Media. This is a free service for all teachers, students and home-schooling families nationwide, offered through local PBS member stations.
