Research
Dr. Ram Kumar started research in 1951. He was awarded the degree of
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in 1956 on the thesis Hankel Transform and
Self-reciprocal Functions. He was awarded Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in
1963 on the thesis Integral Transform and its
Application to the Solution of Flow Problems. He won the Bonerjee
Research Prize for the best research production of the year 1963 on the D.Sc.
thesis from the University of Lucknow.
The originality and significance of Dr. Kumar's contributions to both pure
and applied mathematics is evident from the report on
the D.Sc. thesis by an authority of the eminence of Prof.
Ian Sneddon.
Research Supervision
Four of Dr. Ram Kumar's students have been awarded Ph.D. degree:
| Dr. R.P. Gupta was awarded Ph.D. degree in 1964 by Agra University on the
thesis The Theory of Hankel Transform. |
| Dr. A.P. Dwivedi was awarded Ph.D. Degree in 1966 by Agra University on
the thesis Dual and Triple Integral Equations. |
| Dr. B.M. Sharma was awarded Ph.D. Degree in 1977 by Udaipur University on
the thesis Reyleigh-Taylor Instability. |
| Dr. R.K. Raina was awarded Ph.D. Degree in 1978 by Udaipur University on
the thesis Generalised Functions of One or More Variables. |
